Biography:
As a child, life instilled in me a desire to be creative and to have a voice. I tend to see and speak in images. The art that I produce lies somewhere between portraiture, still-life, and illustration. Lighting, form, and simplicity of content combined with a decisive tripping of the shutter are key elements in my style. My vision has been influenced by Henri-Cartier Bresson, Richard Avedon, Paul Strand, and my life experiences. Each of them has had a profound effect on how I capture the subject and pay attention to the "elusive" moments. I hope my images speak to you. I'm a board member and active artist with the 4th Floor Artists, Inc., a group of 40+ artists working in a Rockland warehouse. The 4th Floor Artists' Open Studios is generally held on the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. I'm represented by The Charles-Baltivak Gallery in Provincetown, MA. Limited edition images, framed and unframed are for sale. Original images are photographs, polaroid transfers, photo-digital prints, and 3-D photographs.
